📋 Pokemon Z Changelog

v2.15

  • Fixed a bug where the black male avatar did not have all of its graphics updated after the prison section.
  • Fixed certain key items that could be thrown away, which caused story bugs if the player discarded them.
  • Minor fixes and adjustments.

After this version, I consider the game to be bug-free and I do not plan to release further updates unless new content is added in the future (new modes, new missions, etc.).

Thank you for your patience with the numerous updates! I wanted the game to be as polished as possible.

v2.14

  • Fixed a bug that allowed Nuzlocke mode to be reactivated in the postgame after completing the game in Nuzlocke.
  • Alolan Raichu and Galarian Slowbro are now correctly programmed.
  • Difficulty adjustments: Lanto has received a slight nerf, while Regent Anturia has received a significant buff.

v2.13

  • The final boss of Act 1 has been slightly nerfed.
  • Fixed a visual error with Greninja Z’s Hidden Ability.
  • Various minor bug fixes.

v2.11

  • Multiple small bug fixes.
  • The following regional forms have been slightly buffed: Greninja, Cofagrigus, Wailord, Reuniclus, and Gothitelle.
  • Regional Lilligant and regional Sudowoodo can now be obtained earlier.

v2.09

  • Fixed various issues in the Battle Tower.
  • Toxic Spikes now function correctly (finally!).
  • Added an “Infinite Prodigy Gift” in the postgame if you complete the requirements in Acrílico Town.
  • Numerous minor bug fixes and improvements.

v2.08

  • Fixed an edge-case glitch where players could skip three cities by triggering a specific sequence of events.
  • Minor bug fixes and general polish.
  • Reorganized the JoiPlay guide and documentation to reduce emulator-related issues.

v2.07

  • Two situations have been fixed where the player could get stuck if they performed a very specific sequence of actions.
  • The phone should no longer fill up with images when downloading the game on Android.
  • IMPORTANT: The JoiPlay guide has been updated with a more recent version of the emulator (the guide hadn’t been reviewed in a year). It should now cause fewer issues.
  • Remember that you can download the game again and keep your save files without any problems on PC. On Android, you need to move the Game.rxdata files to the new folder.

v2.06 – Bug Fixes

  • Minor graphical corrections for some regional forms.
  • The Sanguino Circus clown who could trap you in a hallway has been OBLITERATED forever.

v2.05

  • Full Game with all the 12 GYMs Released!
  • Bug fixes from user feedbacks.
  • And Much more New Content is added.

🖥️ How to Play on Various Devices

While Pokemon Z Fangame is made using RPG Maker XP and Pokemon Essentials, it is best suited for PC or Laptop. However, through emulation, it is also possible to play on Android. Follow the steps below to learn how you can play it on Windows and Android.

Note: This game is not playable on iOS as of now because iOS does not have a compatible emulator.

Windows

Playing on Windows is pretty simple:

  1. Download the game files from the table above.
  2. Extract the files using an application like WinRAR or 7-Zip (free and recommended).
  3. After extraction, you’ll get a new folder (e.g., Pokemon Z v1.55).
  4. Open the folder and look for the file with the Pokeball icon named “Game” (type: Application).
  5. Double-click on it — and boom, your game starts!

Android

Requirements: Joiplay App + RPG Maker Plugin + Game Files

  1. Install the Joiplay App and the RPG Maker Plugin on your Android device.
  2. Download the game files from this page.
  3. Extract them using an app like ZArchiver (recommended).
  4. Open Joiplay, tap the plus (+) icon, and select “Add Game”.
  5. Browse to the extracted Pokemon Z folder and select the .exe file inside.
  6. If all goes well, the game will launch in Joiplay.
Common Problems: frame drops, broken tiles, plugin errors. The Google Play version is outdated; use the Patreon version. Some players have completed fangames with Joiplay.

Thanks and enjoy the adventure!
